Hi,
I am a guitar player and songwriter in the Netherlands, sticking to my roots. In the early seventies I was influenced by bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Wishbone Ash, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, Grand Funk, Uriah Heep, Focus and other great bands.
In that period favourite guitarist were Ritchie Blackmore, Gary Moore, Jimmy Page, Jan Akkerman, Pat Travers, Rory Gallagher, Al DiMeola, Edward van Halen and many others.
After the roaring seventies, bands like Van Halen, Saga, Thin Lizzy and Toto gave me musical inspirations. From that moment up till now I enjoy listening to John Petrucci, Steve Lukather, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Michael Romeo and many other, less-known guitarist.
In 1993 I first heard the progressive rock band Dream Theater. Although their music is complex, it inspires me to write my own songs. The variation in music and their musical skills are unimaginable. Not of this earth...
